« Business impact »

Modern society is characterized by rampant materialism. The only way out seems to be more growth and the mad rush to globalization. In this context, humanity is on the brink of consuming fifty years of oil reserves at an exponential rate; a recipe for disaster with "sustainable pollution" as collatoral damage.

This is why I became interested in what seems to be becoming the workshop of the world: China as a symbol of emerging economies, mobilizing to get market share in the midst of global economic competition, and finally participating in the frenzy of universal consumerism. Mass production tools are witnesses of the acceleration of Taylorism.

The captions of the photos, drawn from the use of well-known Anglicisms, illustrate that language and diversity have become global.

"Business impact " explores the future of consumerism, and begs the question of the decrease.
